The National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) is run by CDC and helps women who don't have good access to healthcare get important tests for cancer before there are signs of illness. The program operates in:
All 50 states;
The District of Columbia;
5 U.S. territories; and
12 American Indian/Alaska Native groups.
The program is for women ages 18 to 64 who don't have health insurance or have insurance that doesn't cover the tests. The rules about who can participate vary by state, tribe, and territory. You will need to contact the program in your area to see if you qualify.
The CDC website has a list of contacts for each state program.
