Adam Kleger runs a terrific website, the Nursing Home LibraryHe was kind enough to answer questions about the website and the help it provides.

Q: Could you tell me a little bit about yourself, your website
and anything else you’d like to mention.

A: Involved in retirement living industry on/off since 1990. RetirementLivingLibrary.com (and co-sites RetirementCommunityLibrary.com, AssistedLivingLibrary.com, and NursingHomeLibrary.com) launched in 2009.

Q: How did you come up with the idea to create the directory?

A: Idea for websites came from observed need for senior living databases to be accessible and searchable at a local level (by city, county, area. etc.)

Q: What are your requirements for a nursing home to be listed
in the directory?

A: No requirements to be listed. Nursing home operators can simply click the submit button, and submit a brief description of their facility, select where in the directory it best fits, and supply a brief description.

Q: What has been the feedback you have received about your site
and how do you go about making changes?

A: Feedback was been immensely positive. The Libraries are the perfect first stop for consumers to explore options. And the thousands of direct links to individual facilities/communities provides all the additional details.

Q: What can I find at the Nursing Home Library that is unique
and special among all of the senior-related and caregiving websites
out there?

A: What's most unique is that all content is user-generated and self-policed. And each local directory offers extremely targeted advertising options as well.

Q: I noticed that you take guest article submissions. Do you
have any specific requirements regarding the types of articles you
allow on your site?

A: Guest articles must to relevant to the directory content, and educational (not "sales").

Q: Are you looking to ‘go national’ with the listings or are
you going to stay with the specific states that you are working with
already (ie: North Carolina, Texas, etc…)

A: Currently staying within the specifically listed states. Those states are the top 8-10 for retirement and assisted living options. Plans to expand potentially in 2012.
