1) Tell us a bit about yourself, your website and anything else you?d like to mention.
Although not at first called The Senior Citizens League, TSCL was first established in 1992 as a special project of The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA), which was founded in 1963. In September 1994, TSCL was incorporated in Colorado as an independent citizens' action and education non-profit organization. It received recognition from the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt section 501(c)(4) organization in June 1995.
2) Why did you create the website?
The Senior Citizens League created its website to fulfill a mission goal of educating individuals about the benefits they have earned and to provide a route for grassroots lobbying efforts to protect those benefits
3) What has been the feedback you have received about your site and how do you go about making changes?
The Senior Citizens League routinely receives positive feedback about its website, primarily the information it contains. Updates are done to the website periodically depending on new information that becomes available and new technology that we can use.
4) What can I find at the TSCL website that is unique and special among all of the senior-related and caregiving websites out there?
You will find our website to be non-partisan in nature. We support legislation that, if passed, would benefit America’s seniors…regardless of the party affiliation of the particular legislation.
5) Who writes for you? Is there a screening process for prospective authors? Do you accept guest submissions?
Articles that are posted to our website are usually authored by TSCL staff, TSCL consultants. We do accept guest submissions, usually from Members of Congress.
